The COLLEGE OF INDUSTRIAL EDUCATION has it’s beginning in the year 1929 when the first formal two-year Industrial teacher Education was offered at the Philippine School of Arts and Trades (PSAT) by provisions of Republic Act 3377 of 1927.
The first four-year Industrial Education curriculum leading to the degree Bachelor of Science in Industrial Education (BSIE) with major in shop work was offered in 1951 by operation of the Republic Act 975. It was also this time when the school started operating with two departments - the Teacher Education Department and the Technical Education Department. The first depart was the unit over-seeing the various programs on Industrial Teacher Education and Training.
